Job summary

A healthcare provider in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Cardiovascular Technologist responsible for performing cardiology examinations and managing the Cath Lab. The ideal candidate will have an accredited Cardiac Technology degree, a DOH license in the U.A.E., and at least two years of relevant experience. Strong English communication skills are required, while knowledge of Arabic is a plus. This role involves direct patient care and collaboration with medical personnel.

Qualifications

  • 6 months of Internship in Cathlab Technology.
  • Current DOH license to practice in U.A.E.
  • Two years of recent experience in cardiology.
  • Arabic language skills are advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Perform Heart Cath examinations with competence.
  • Order and manage inventory for the Cath Lab.
  • Provide patient care using imaging equipment.
  • Maintain records and assist in office duties.
  • Train other Cath Lab personnel and pursue education.

Job Description

This job is responsible for performing cardiology cath exams at a technical level. An incumbent assumes responsibility for the safe and proper operation of cardiology equipment including equipment within the cath lab.

Responsibilities
  1. Performs Heart Cath examinations, demonstrating competency and proficiency with equipment in the Heart Cath Lab.
  2. Participates in the ordering and inventory of equipment and supplies for the Heart Cath Lab.
  3. Delivers patient care for all age groups while using diagnostic imaging equipment; acts as a liaison between the patient and the cardiologist.
  4. Utilizes equipment and accessories and employs techniques and procedures to protect the patient, self, and others from unnecessary radiation.
  5. Performs general office duties including answering phones, scheduling, filing, and maintaining patient records.
  6. Actively participates in the training of other Cath Lab personnel.
  7. Recognizes that continuing education is vital to maintaining and advancing the profession. Keeps cardiology skills current demonstrating evidence of continuing education to include department meetings, individualized learning opportunities from cardiologists, and related classes.
Qualifications
  1. Graduate from an accredited school of Cardiac Technology
    • 6 months of Internship in Cathlab Technology
  2. Current license in country of origin with DOH license to practice in U.A.E.
  3. Two years of recent related work experience as a Cardiology Tech, Interventional/Special Procedure Technologist (or equivalent).
  4. Excellent command of oral and written English. Arabic language advantageous/desirable but not essential.
  5. Ability to adjust to group practice in an industrial environment.
