Job summary

Talentspoc in Dubai seeks a Consultant Cardiothoracic Surgeon to lead advanced cardiac and thoracic procedures and provide expert perioperative care. You will guide multidisciplinary teams and contribute to patient-centered surgical planning and outcomes.

The role requires an MBBS or equivalent, a recognized CTS qualification, and extensive consultant-level experience, with strong leadership and collaboration skills; private health insurance and ongoing development are provided.

Qualifications

• MBBS or equivalent medical degree.
• Recognized postgraduate qualification in Cardiothoracic/Cardiovascular/Cardiac Surgery (e.g. MS, MCh, DNB, FRCS, Arab Board).
• Significant post-specialization experience at consultant level in cardiothoracic surgery.
• Excellent surgical judgment, leadership, and decision-making skills.
• Strong communication and multidisciplinary collaboration abilities.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients requiring cardiothoracic surgical intervention.
• Perform complex cardiac and thoracic surgical procedures within the scope of expertise.
• Manage conditions involving the heart, lungs, mediastinum, chest wall, and major blood vessels.
• Pre-operative assessments and individualized surgical planning; post-operative care and monitoring.
• Review imaging and diagnostic results (echocardiography, CT, MRI, angiography).
• Collaborate with cardiologists, anesthesiologists, intensivists, radiologists, and other teams.

Job description

Our leading healthcare facility is looking for an experienced Consultant Cardiothoracic Surgeon to provide advanced surgical care for patients with complex cardiac, thoracic, and cardiovascular conditions. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in cardiothoracic surgery, strong operative skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients requiring cardiothoracic surgical intervention.
• Perform complex cardiac and thoracic surgical procedures within the scope of expertise.
• Manage conditions involving the heart, lungs, mediastinum, chest wall, and major blood vessels.
• Perform procedures such as coronary artery bypass surgery, valve surgery, aortic procedures, thoracic surgery, and other appropriate cardiothoracic interventions.
• Conduct comprehensive pre-operative assessments and develop individualized surgical plans.
• Provide post-operative and critical care management and monitor patients for complications.
• Review and interpret echocardiography, CT, MRI, angiography, laboratory results, and other diagnostic investigations.
• Manage emergency cardiothoracic cases, including acute aortic syndromes, cardiac trauma, and other life-threatening conditions.
• Collaborate closely with cardiologists, anesthesiologists, intensivists, radiologists, pulmonologists, and other multidisciplinary teams.
• Counsel patients and families regarding treatment options, surgical risks, expected outcomes, and recovery.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure compliance with UAE healthcare standards.
• Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, teaching, research, and continuing medical education.

Requirements

Qualifications & Requirements

• MBBS or equivalent medical degree.
• Recognized postgraduate qualification in Cardiothoracic Surgery / Cardiovascular Surgery / Cardiac Surgery, such as MS, MCh, DNB, FRCS, Arab Board, or equivalent.
• Significant post-specialization experience with Consultant-level cardiothoracic surgical experience.
• Strong operative experience in cardiac and thoracic surgery.
• Surgical logbook may be required during UAE licensing/credentialing processes.
• Excellent surgical judgment, leadership, and decision‑making skills.
• Strong communication and multidisciplinary collaboration abilities
