A leading healthcare facility in Dubai is seeking an experienced Cardiothoracic Surgeon to diagnose and surgically manage conditions affecting the heart, lungs, and chest. You will perform complex cardiac and thoracic procedures and provide essential postoperative care in a high-acuity setting.

Qualifications

• MBBS or equivalent internationally recognized primary medical qualification.
• Masters/fellowship in Cardiothoracic Surgery or equivalent international qualification.
• Significant post-specialization clinical experience in cardiothoracic surgery.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and manage cardiac and thoracic surgical conditions.
• Perform complex cardiac and thoracic procedures.
• Manage conditions like CAD, valvular disease, aortic disorders, and thoracic diseases.
• Conduct preoperative assessments and develop individualized plans.
• Provide postoperative care in CTICU and monitor for complications.
• Collaborate with cardiologists, anaesthesiologists, intensivists, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Maintain high standards of surgical quality and patient safety.

Job Summary

Our leading healthcare facility is seeking an experienced Cardiothoracic Surgeon to diagnose and surgically manage conditions affecting the heart, lungs, and other organs within the chest. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in complex cardiothoracic procedures, surgical critical care, and the management of patients with cardiovascular and thoracic conditions.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with cardiac and thoracic surgical conditions
• Perform complex cardiac and thoracic surgical procedures
• Manage conditions such as coronary artery disease, valvular heart disease, aortic disorders, lung diseases, and other thoracic conditions
• Perform procedures such as coronary artery bypass grafting, valve repair and replacement, and thoracic surgeries, according to clinical expertise
• Conduct preoperative assessments and develop individualized surgical treatment plans
• Provide postoperative care and manage patients in cardiothoracic intensive care settings
• Monitor patients for surgical complications and ensure appropriate follow-up care
• Collaborate with cardiologists, anesthesiologists, intensivists, and other multidisciplinary teams
• Participate in clinical reviews and maintain high standards of surgical quality and patient safety

Qualifications & Requirements

• MBBS or equivalent internationally recognized primary medical qualification
• Relevant Master's degree, postgraduate specialist qualification, fellowship, or equivalent internationally recognized qualification in Cardiothoracic Surgery
• Additional fellowship or advanced specialist training in cardiac or thoracic surgery is an advantage
• Significant post-specialization clinical experience in cardiothoracic surgery
• Proven expertise in complex cardiac and/or thoracic surgical procedures
• Strong surgical judgment, clinical leadership, and patient-management skills
