Job summary

SearchPlus HR is seeking a highly qualified Specialist / Consultant Cardiac Surgeon with UK CCT to provide comprehensive surgical care for cardiovascular patients in the UAE.

The role encompasses pre-operative assessment, cardiac surgery and post-operative management, with collaboration across cardiology, anaesthesia and ICU teams. UAE licensing support and CPD opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• MBBS/MBChB or equivalent medical degree.
• UK CCT in Cardiothoracic Surgery or equivalent qualification.
• Experience as a consultant-level clinician in cardiothoracic surgery.
• Holding UAE Specialist/Consultant Cardiac Surgery licence or eligible.
• Current Good Standing Certificate and credentialing documents.

Responsibilities

• Assess and manage patients requiring cardiac surgical intervention.
• Perform cardiac surgical procedures within approved clinical privileges.
• Conduct pre-operative assessments and develop individualized surgical plans.
• Provide post-operative care and manage surgical complications.
• Collaborate with cardiologists, anaesthetists, intensivists and multidisciplinary cardiac teams.
• Review and interpret relevant diagnostic investigations.
• Participate in multidisciplinary cardiac meetings and clinical discussions.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records.
• Participate in clinical governance, quality improvement and patient-safety initiatives.
• Maintain professional competence through CPD and continuing education.
