We are searching for a highly proficient and compassionate individual who specializes in the surgical treatment of heart diseases. The successful candidate will be instrumental in diagnosing and treating patients, ensuring they receive the highest standard of care throughout their surgical journey.
Responsibilities
- Perform surgical procedures on patients with heart conditions, including but not limited to coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) and heart valve replacements.
- Conduct thorough patient evaluations to determine the need for surgical intervention and develop personalized treatment plans.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including cardiologists and nursing staff, to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Manage preoperative and postoperative care, ensuring effective recovery and monitoring for complications.
- Educate patients and their families about surgical procedures, expected outcomes, and lifestyle modifications.
- Participate in ongoing research and contribute to advancing the field of cardiac surgery through quality improvement initiatives.
- Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of all surgical procedures and patient information.
Qualifications
- M.D. or D.O. from an accredited medical school.
- Completion of residency in General Surgery, followed by a fellowship in Cardiac Surgery.
- Board certification in Cardiac Surgery is mandatory.
- A minimum of 5 years of surgical experience in a cardiac surgery setting.
- Demonstrated expertise in performing complex cardiac surgical procedures.
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with patients and healthcare teams.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced surgical environment and make critical decisions.
- Valid medical license in the state of practice.
- Commitment to professional development and staying current with advancements in the field.
