G-iHub is seeking a Carbon Market Development Specialist to identify market opportunities, build strategic partnerships, and drive carbon-related initiatives in Abu Dhabi. You will analyze carbon market trends, assess credits, and shape commercial strategies to support environmental and business growth.

The role requires strong research, negotiation, and stakeholder-management skills, with a background in environmental finance or sustainability.

Qualifications

Experience in carbon markets, sustainability, environmental finance, climate strategy, or business development.
Understanding of carbon credits, carbon trading mechanisms, and voluntary or compliance carbon markets.
Strong market research, analytical, and commercial evaluation skills.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities.
Familiarity with carbon accounting, emissions reduction projects, or carbon verification standards is an advantage.
Ability to assess market opportunities and translate research into actionable business strategies.
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field is preferred.
Relevant carbon market, ESG, or sustainability qualifications are advantageous.

Responsibilities

Identify and evaluate carbon market opportunities, carbon credits, and emerging market mechanisms.
Conduct research on carbon pricing, market trends, climate policies, and regulatory developments.
Support the development of carbon market strategies and commercial business models.
Build relationships with project developers, carbon credit buyers, investors, and industry partners.
Assess carbon project opportunities, market feasibility, and potential revenue streams.
Support carbon credit sourcing, project development, and commercialization initiatives.
Monitor carbon standards, verification frameworks, and relevant compliance requirements.
Develop business proposals, market assessments, and strategic recommendations.
Collaborate with Sustainability, Finance, Legal, and Business Development teams.
Track market performance, partnership opportunities, and carbon market developments.
Identify opportunities for strategic alliances and investment in climate-related initiatives.
