Job summary

Parsons in Abu Dhabi is seeking a skilled CAD/Civil 3D Modeler to support infrastructure projects. You will prepare drawings, isometrics, and layouts using Civil 3D, AutoCAD, and related tools, ensuring adherence to standards.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in Engineering, has 5+ years of drafting experience on infrastructure works, and is fluent in English. This full-time role offers growth opportunities within a leading global engineering company.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Minimum 5 years demonstrable experience in drafting on infrastructure projects.
• Experience with CAD software such as Civil 3D, Navisworks and AutoCAD; Revit and Infrawizard are a plus.
• Fluent in English, strong written and spoken communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes a CAD workstation to prepare drawings including layouts, isometrics, and assemblies per standards.
• Ensures compliance with codes and company policies by referencing technical manuals.
• Learns standards and codes such as ANSI, PFI, and ASME.
• Performs data compilation and basic dimensional calculations for drawings.
• Reads 2D orthographic and 3D isometric designs and supplier drawings.

CAD/Civil 3D Modeler

Responsibilities:

• Utilizes a CAD workstation to prepare engineering drawings consisting of basic arrangements, layouts, flow sheets, assemblies, isometrics, etc., from rough sketches and/or from general engineering and design information according to established standards and procedures.
• Utilizes technical manuals and directives to ensure compliance with codes and company policies.
• Becomes familiar with various standards and codes such as ANSI, PFI, and ASME.
• Compiles data and performs dimensional and routine calculations required for the preparation of drawings.
• Understands how to read orthographic (2D) and/or isometric (3D) designs and supplier/manufacturer drawings.
• Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Minimum 5 years demonstrable experience in the drafting experience on infrastructure projects.
• Must have experience on the use of computer aided drafting software, such as Civil 3D, Navisworks and AutoCAD etc.Revit, Infrawizard Structural experience is a plus.
• Must be fluent in English both written and spoken with good capability in oral and written communication skills;
• Computer skills and the ability to utilize design software are mandatory
