Job summary

SEGULA Technologies is seeking a skilled CAD / As-Built Specialist for a 12-month assignment in the United Arab Emirates. You will review design information, convert it into accurate As-Built drawings, and coordinate with engineers and technicians to reflect installed CCTV, Access Control and telecom systems.

The role requires strong AutoCAD capability, attention to detail and the ability to work under tight project deadlines on rail/transport infrastructure projects in the UAE.

Qualifications

• Must have hands-on experience preparing As-Built drawings.
• Strong practical understanding of CCTV layouts, Access Control and Telecom systems.
• Experience with ELV or low-voltage systems and fibre connections is a plus.

For an ongoing rail and transport infrastructure project in the UAE, we are seeking an experienced CAD / As-Built Specialist to support the preparation and updating of technical drawings for CCTV, Access Control and Telecom systems.

Job Description

The CAD / As-Built Specialist will be responsible for reviewing available design information, installation records and technical inputs and converting them into accurate As-Built drawings.

The role requires strong AutoCAD capability and a practical understanding of CCTV layouts, Access Control Systems, low-voltage installations, cable pathways, fibre connections and Telecom design documentation.

The selected candidate will coordinate closely with the engineering and technical teams to ensure that all drawings accurately reflect the installed systems and comply with project documentation requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and update As-Built drawings for CCTV, Access Control and Telecom systems.
• Review design drawings, installation records, technical documents and site information.
• Update CCTV equipment locations and associated camera coverage areas.
• Prepare drawings for Access Control System devices and related low-voltage installations.
• Identify and document architectural interfaces, cable routes and cable pathways.
• Review and interpret Telecom system designs and technical layouts.
• Trace and identify fibre-optic patch cables and associated connections.
• Review available network configuration files and technical information.
• Incorporate verified site information and technical-team comments into final drawings.
• Identify discrepancies between design documents and actual installation conditions.
• Coordinate with engineers, technicians and other project stakeholders to resolve drawing issues.
• Maintain accurate drawing registers, revisions and document-control records.
• Ensure all drawings comply with applicable project CAD standards and documentation procedures.
• Support the preparation of final technical handover and As-Built documentation.
• Attend site coordination meetings or technical verification activities when required.

Required Qualifications And Experience

• Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Telecommunications, Drafting or a related technical discipline.
• Proven experience as a CAD Draftsperson, CAD Technician or As-Built Specialist.
• Strong practical proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Demonstrable experience preparing As-Built drawings.
• Experience with CCTV, Access Control, Telecom, ELV or low-voltage systems.
• Good understanding of CCTV locations, coverage requirements and equipment layouts.
• Familiarity with Access Control Systems and associated field devices.
• Understanding of cable routes, containment systems and architectural interfaces.
• Ability to interpret Telecom designs, technical drawings and engineering documentation.
• Basic understanding of fibre-optic patching and network connectivity.
• Previous experience within rail, transport infrastructure or major infrastructure projects is preferred.
• Ability to work accurately under tight project deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and document accuracy.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to coordinate effectively with multidisciplinary technical teams.
• Immediate availability or a short notice period is strongly preferred.

Additional Information

The position is based in the United Arab Emirates and requires availability for project and site coordination when necessary.

Candidates must already be located in the UAE or able to mobilize within a short timeframe.
