Job Description

Job Title: Cabin Mechanic

Reports To: Cabin Maintenance Manager

1. JOB PURPOSE

To undertake cabin-related maintenance tasks as directed by the Cabin Maintenance Team Leader. Tasks include identifying aircraft cabin defects, maintenance, and rectification. Discrepancies found should be rectified within the scope of their Cabin Mechanic approval.

2. JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES
  1. Maintain and oversee the maintenance, cleaning, and repair of aircraft interior items such as seats, galleys, toilets, lights, carpets, and others.
  2. Report performance and certification of maintenance work.
  3. Ensure all documentation is completely and correctly filled out and certified.
  4. Undertake transit, daily, and weekly cabin checks as directed by OPMC.
  5. Ensure all work is carried out using approved tooling and personal protective equipment (PPE).
  6. Ensure all work is within the scope of approval and in accordance with the AMM, MCM, and SRMs as applicable.
  7. Understand the scope of approval and ensure approvals are valid and current.
  8. Undertake any additional cabin maintenance tasks assigned by supervision.
3. QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & KNOWLEDGE

Secondary education with relevant experience OR an Aircraft Maintenance Technology Degree/Certificate or equivalent.

Experience servicing aircraft electronics to component level is preferred.

FAA/EASA repair certificate is a plus.

Knowledge of Networking Systems is a plus.

Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience. Must be locally available in the UAE. Experience with wide-body commercial aircraft.

Training & Knowledge: Good written and verbal communication skills. Must have completed and passed an LHT Cabin Experts course.
