Role Description

The Business & Economics Teacher will deliver engaging and rigorous lessons in Business and Economics to middle and/or high school learners, aligned with the American curriculum and school standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include planning and implementing lessons, assessing student progress, providing constructive feedback, and maintaining accurate records of achievement and attendance. The teacher will create a supportive classroom environment that encourages inquiry, critical thinking, and ethical decision-making, while integrating global and real-world economic concepts. Additional duties include collaborating with colleagues, participating in school events, contributing to curriculum development, and engaging with families to support student success. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Sharjah Emirate, United Arab Emirates.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong subject-matter expertise in Business Economics and Economics.
• Candidates should possess effective Teaching and Education skills, with demonstrated classroom management and student engagement abilities.
• Candidates should possess solid Lesson Planning skills, including the ability to design differentiated and standards-aligned instructional materials.
• Relevant bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Education, or a related field; advanced degrees or teaching certifications are an advantage.
• Experience teaching Business and/or Economics within an American or international curriculum setting is highly beneficial.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural school environment.
• Commitment to inclusive, gender-neutral, and non-discriminatory teaching practices, and alignment with the school's values and mission.
• Teaching certification or equivalent qualification is required.
• Experience in an American or international curriculum is a plus.
