The Strategy and Research Analyst supports the strategic and budgeting planning process by conducting market research, analyzing industry trends, evaluating business performance, and generating insights to guide decision‑making across the group. The role plays a key part in identifying growth opportunities, supporting strategic initiatives, and preparing materials for executive leadership and board discussions.
1. Strategic Research and Analysis
- Conduct in‑depth research on market dynamics, industry benchmarks, competitor strategies, and macroeconomic indicators.
- Analyze industry reports, financial publications, and third‑party studies to extract relevant insights.
2. Strategic Planning Support
- Assist in the development of annual strategic plans and 3‑5 year business roadmaps.
- Evaluate new business opportunities, partnerships, and investment strategies.
- Prepare business case models, risk assessments, and strategic scenario analysis.
3. Performance Analysis & Reporting
- Monitor KPIs and strategic initiatives to evaluate progress against the group’s goals.
- Support in preparing monthly/quarterly strategy dashboards and performance scorecards.
- Collaborate with finance and business units to track NOPAT, ROI, and other metrics.
4. Presentation and Communication
- Prepare high‑quality reports, board decks, and executive presentations.
- Synthesize complex data into clear, actionable insights for senior leadership.
- Support strategy workshops, steering committees, and internal strategy communications.
5. Qualifications & Experience
- 3–5 years of experience in strategy, management consulting, investment research, or corporate planning.
- Exposure into conglomerates, holding companies, big corporates will be a plus.
- Hold a professional qualification—ACCA, CA, ACA, MBA.
- Solid knowledge of using business intelligence tools (Power BI, SAC, etc.)
- Experience with Big Data Analysis tools like Python, Java, SQL, SAP will be an advantage.
