Job summary

Chef Middle East is seeking a Business Development Manager for the Dairy Category to expand relationships with existing customers by directing and supporting collaborative sales efforts to grow one or more assigned dairy product lines.

You will drive sales targets, coach the sales team, and identify new revenue opportunities while leading procurement, pricing and marketing activities to boost demand and profitability in the dairy market. Compliance with HACCP & ISO is essential.

Qualifications

• College / University diploma or at least 5 years related experience and/or training.
• Minimum 3 years related experience in customer sales role.
• Familiar with Word and Excel; Dynamics 365 is a plus.
• Familiar with products in the specified category and strong market knowledge.
• Proficient in English and preferably French.

• Maintaining and acquiring new customers & suppliers.
• Identifying new revenue opportunities.
• Build and develop procurement and sourcing strategy & cost and selling pricing management.

• Define and expand the P&B category range, onboard and develop new brands and programs.
• Achieve assigned sales quota, define range, launch NPD, manage expiries within budget.
• Achieves product growth targets in the assigned geography or account base.
• Maintain high customer satisfaction ratings aligned with company standards.
• Study leads relevant to the category to support product/brand additions.
• Extract data and reports and contribute to business reviews with suppliers.
• Support initiatives that ensure product profitability.
• Comply with HACCP & ISO procedures; attend meetings or training as required.

The Business Development Manager - Dairy Category expands relationships with existing customers by directing and supporting collaborative sales efforts to grow one or more assigned dairy product lines.

Responsible for achieving sales quota in the assigned product lines and for supporting the product-line success of an assigned team of sales associates.

Responsibilities:

• Meets assigned targets for profitable sales growth in assigned product lines.
• Provides coaching and professional development to Sales team members to enhance their product knowledge.
• Maintaining and acquiring new customers & suppliers
• Identifying new revenue opportunities
• Build and develop procurement and sourcing strategy & Cost and selling pricing management.
• Lead demand-generating marketing activities in the assigned market for the assigned product specialty (EDM, communications, events, workshops, demonstrations etc..).
• Establish productive and professional relationships with key personnel in assigned customer accounts as well as brand representatives (suppliers).
• Define and expand the P&B category range, onboard and develop new brands and programs.
• Achieve assigned product sales quota, define range, launch NPD (New Product Development), manage NPI’s & expiries within budget.
• Achieves product growth targets in the assigned geography or account base.
• Maintains high customer satisfaction ratings that meet company standards.
• Study leads relevant to the category such as product benchmarking and competitive analysis which will support assessment of product/brand additions to be made in the category.
• Extract data and reports and contribute to preparing business reviews with key suppliers.
• Support initiatives that ensure product profitability.
• Comply with the HACCP & ISO procedures at all times.
• Attend meetings or training courses as required.

Qualifications

• College /University diploma or at least 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Minimum 3 (three) years related experience in customer associated sales role.
• Must be familiar with current software packages such as Microsoft Word and Excel. Microsoft Dynamics 356 would be an added advantage.
• Must be familiar with products in the specified category and possess excellent product and market knowledge.
• Must be proficient in English and preferably French.
