About the Role

The Business Development Manager position is a mid‑to‑senior level role focused on driving strategic growth and revenue generation within the biotechnology sector. Key Responsibilities
  • Identify, evaluate, and pursue new business opportunities within the biotechnology sector, including partnerships, licensing deals, and strategic alliances.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive business development strategies tailored to the biotech industry, leveraging market intelligence and competitive analysis.
  • Build, nurture, and manage relationships with key stakeholders such as pharmaceutical companies, research institutions, healthcare providers, and government agencies.
  • Lead negotiations for commercial agreements, joint ventures, and collaborations, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and compliance with industry regulations.
  • Conduct in‑depth market research to identify emerging trends, unmet needs, and potential areas for product or service expansion.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling presentations, proposals, and pitches to prospective clients and partners, articulating the value proposition of the company’s biotech solutions.

  • Proven track record of at least 5 years in business development, sales, or strategic partnerships within the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or life sciences sectors.
  • Deep understanding of the biotech industry, including product development cycles, regulatory pathways, and commercialization strategies.
  • Exceptional relationship‑building and stakeholder management skills, with experience engaging C‑level executives, researchers, and institutional partners.
  • Strong negotiation and contract management abilities, with a history of closing complex deals and partnerships.
  • Advanced analytical skills, including the ability to interpret market data, financial reports, and industry trends to inform strategic decisions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with proficiency in preparing business proposals, presentations, and reports.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a hybrid work environment, balancing remote collaboration with in‑person meetings in Abu Dhabi.
  • High degree of cultural awareness and adaptability, particularly in the context of the Middle East and international markets.
  • Proficiency in CRM software, business intelligence tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to lead cross‑functional initiatives from conception to execution.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Biotechnology, Life Sciences, or a related field is required.
  • Master’s degree (MBA or MSc) in a relevant discipline is highly desirable.
  • Additional certifications in business development, project management, or biotechnology are advantageous.
  • Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Arabic is a strong asset.
