We seek experienced educators with passion for academic excellence in American curriculum or IB, to inspire confident, curious learners.

The role involves delivering engaging lessons, differentiating instruction, collaborating with colleagues, and contributing to school life.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Education or equivalent in Business/Economics with teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching Business or Economics at High School level.
• Experience in American or IB curriculum is preferred.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Commitment to inquiry-based learning and student engagement.
• Ability to foster an inclusive classroom culture.

Position Overview

We are particularly keen to hear from experienced American curriculum and/or IB educators who are passionate about academic excellence and inspiring confident, curious learners.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and interactive Business & Economics lessons to high school students, following the school's curriculum and educational standards.
• Develop and implement creative and effective teaching strategies to inspire a love for Business & Economics and foster critical thinking skills.
• Collaborate with colleagues to create a positive and supportive learning environment.
• Ensure continuity in the delivery of curriculum content.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom culture that encourages curiosity and exploration.
• Participate in parent-teacher conferences and maintain open communication with parents regarding student progress.
• Contribute to the wider life of the school through enrichment opportunities and professional learning.

Skills

• Hold a Bachelor of Education degree, or an initial degree together with a relevant teaching qualification such as a PGCE, State License, or equivalent specialising in Business or Economics.
• Have proven experience teaching Business or Economics at High School level, ideally within an American or IB curriculum school.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of inquiry-based learning and practical Business & Economics instruction.
• Be an excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Build strong relationships with students, parents and colleagues.
• Show a commitment to continually improve their practice and deliver outstanding teaching and learning experiences for their students.
