Business Analyst – Informatica IDMC

Location: Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. Full‑time position.

This role is for a data‑focused business analyst with strong experience in Informatica IDMC, data management, data governance, data quality, profiling, lineage, and stakeholder requirement gathering. The analyst will support data governance initiatives by gathering requirements, analyzing data challenges, and helping design solutions to improve how data is managed across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business stakeholders, data owners, technology teams, and governance teams to gather data management and governance requirements.
• Analyze business processes, data flows, system dependencies, and reporting needs to identify governance and data quality requirements.
• Support the design and implementation of data management and governance solutions using Informatica IDMC and equivalent enterprise toolsets.
• Translate business requirements into functional specifications, process flows, governance rules, data controls, and implementation documentation.
• Analyze data quality issues and propose practical solutions to improve accuracy, completeness, consistency, reliability, and usability.
• Conduct data profiling activities to identify gaps, duplicates, inconsistencies, validation issues, and data improvement opportunities.
• Perform data lineage analysis to support transparency, traceability, regulatory needs, and trusted reporting.
• Develop, update, and maintain data management policies, standards, procedures, and control documentation.
• Work with technical teams to validate tool configuration, data rules, metadata, workflows, and governance outputs.
• Prepare stakeholder updates, requirement documents, issue logs, data quality summaries, and governance progress reports.
• Support governance workshops, user discussions, and requirement clarification sessions across departments.
• Help promote consistent data handling practices and support users in understanding approved governance standards.
• Assist in governance reviews, data assessments, and remediation planning for identified data management gaps.

Ideal Profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Management, Business Information Systems, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Business Analyst in data management, data governance, data quality, or enterprise data transformation projects.
• Hands‑on expertise with Informatica IDMC or equivalent data management and governance platforms.
• Strong understanding of data governance concepts, data quality rules, metadata management, data profiling, data lineage, and data stewardship.
• Ability to gather requirements from diverse stakeholders and convert them into clear functional and technical documentation.
• Experience analyzing complex data issues and recommending practical improvements for accuracy, consistency, and reliability.
• Good knowledge of data policies, standards, procedures, governance workflows, and control documentation.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail and process discipline.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work across business and technology teams.
