Job Overview: This role is well suited for a professional who can analyze data issues, define cleansing requirements, automate quality processes, and help business teams make confident decisions using accurate and reliable information.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze business data to identify cleansing needs, quality gaps, duplicate records, missing values, inconsistent formats, and unreliable information.
• Use Python Notebooks, SSIS, Microsoft Fabric builds, Power BI, and equivalent data engineering tools to support data cleansing and quality operations.
• Collaborate with business teams, data engineers, reporting teams, governance stakeholders, and technology users to understand data quality issues.
• Define data cleansing requirements, validation rules, exception handling logic, and quality improvement actions.
• Develop and maintain data quality metrics to measure accuracy, completeness, consistency, reliability, validity, and process effectiveness.
• Create and support automated data cleansing processes that improve efficiency, reduce manual effort, and increase accuracy.
• Assist in designing dashboards, quality reports, and issue summaries that help stakeholders understand data quality performance.
• Support root‑cause analysis for recurring data problems and recommend sustainable process or system improvements.
• Work with technical teams to validate data transformations, cleansing logic, and quality rule implementation.
• Assist in developing and implementing data governance policies, procedures, standards, and operating controls.
• Prepare clear documentation including business requirements, data issue logs, process flows, quality rules, remediation plans, and stakeholder updates.
• Support testing and validation to ensure cleansed data meets business expectations and reporting needs.
• Promote better data handling practices across teams by helping users understand quality standards and approved governance procedures.

Ideal Profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Management, Statistics, Information Technology, Business Information Systems, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Business Analyst specializing in data cleansing, data quality, data governance, or data improvement initiatives.
• Practical knowledge of Python Notebooks, SSIS, Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, and equivalent data engineering or reporting tools.
• Strong understanding of data quality principles, cleansing techniques, validation rules, data profiling, and quality metrics.
• Ability to collect, organize, analyze, and explain significant volumes of data with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Experience working with cross‑functional teams to identify issues, gather requirements, document solutions, and support implementation.
• Good understanding of data governance policies, standards, procedures, controls, and data ownership practices.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to translate data issues into practical business and technical requirements.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex data quality findings to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
