Job summary

Sundus in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Senior Business Analyst (Subject Matter Expert) for Business Banking. You will gather and document requirements across products and services, with a focus on customer onboarding and account maintenance, while aligning with regulatory needs.

Collaborating with Product, Operations, Compliance, Risk and IT, you will create BRDs/FRDs, run workshops, and support testing to ensure production readiness on a one-year project with a Bank client.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of Business Analysis experience.
• Minimum 3 years in Business Banking, SME Banking, or Corporate Banking.
• Knowledge of KYC, AML, FATCA/CRS and regulatory requirements.
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, Visio/Draw.io.
• Experience delivering in Agile and Waterfall environments.

Responsibilities

• Elicit, analyze, and document business requirements from stakeholders.
• Prepare BRDs, FRDs, user stories, process maps, and acceptance criteria.
• Conduct requirement workshops with business and operations teams.

Role Purpose

The Senior Business Analyst will act as a Business Banking Subject Matter Expert (SME) responsible for gathering, analyzing, and documenting business requirements across Business Banking products and services. The role requires deep understanding of customer onboarding, account maintenance, while working closely with Product, Operations, Compliance, Risk, and Technology teams.

Key Responsibilities

Business Analysis & Requirements

• Elicit, analyze, and document business requirements from stakeholders.
• Prepare BRDs, FRDs, user stories, process maps, and acceptance criteria.
• Conduct requirement workshops with business and operations teams.
• Translate business requirements into detailed functional specifications.

Business Banking Expertise

• Lead initiatives related to:
  • Customer Onboarding & KYC
  • Account Maintenance
  • Customer Due Diligence (CDD)
  • Cash Management

Stakeholder Management

• Work closely with Product Owners, Business Users, Compliance, Risk, Operations and IT teams.
• Facilitate workshops and requirement walkthrough sessions.
• Manage requirement change requests and impact assessments.

Testing & Delivery

• Support SIT and UAT activities.
• Prepare test scenarios and business validation scripts.
• Participate in production readiness and post-implementation support.

Required Skills & Experience

• 6+ years of Business Analysis experience.
• Minimum 3 years in Business Banking, SME Banking, or Corporate Banking.
• Strong understanding of Banking Operations and Regulatory requirements.
• Experience in Agile and Waterfall delivery models.
• Knowledge of:
  • KYC & AML
  • FATCA / CRS

Preferred Qualifications

• CBAP, PMI-PBA, or Agile Certification.
