Job summary

Shory is seeking a Business Analyst to bridge business needs with technology solutions. You will analyze requirements, document user stories, and collaborate with Product, Engineering, UX/UI, and QA to deliver scalable digital solutions throughout the product lifecycle.

You will identify opportunities for automation, support workshops, and maintain comprehensive documentation such as BRDs, FRDs, and process maps. Strong English and stakeholder management are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 3–6 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Product Analyst, or similar in tech/digital transformation.
• Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Experience translating requirements into functional specs, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Experience creating process maps, wireframes, and workflow diagrams.
• Excellent English communication; Arabic is an advantage.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product, Engineering, UX/UI, QA and business stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, validate, and document business, functional, and technical requirements.
• Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and feasibility studies.
• Translate requirements into user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional specs.
• Work with Product Managers, Engineers, UX/UI Designers, QA, and stakeholders through the lifecycle.
• Analyze processes to identify automation, optimization, and improvements.
• Evaluate risks and provide mitigation recommendations.
• Support wireframes, prototypes, and workflow diagrams to communicate requirements.
• Produce BRDs, FRDs, use cases, process maps, and UAT plans.
• Track milestones, maintain issue logs, and keep project docs up to date.
• Facilitate workshops and requirements sessions with stakeholders.
• Support QA and UAT to ensure delivered solutions meet requirements.
• Monitor product performance post-implementation and collect feedback.
• Identify risks/dependencies and escalate as needed.

Job Purpose

To bridge business needs with technology solutions by analyzing business requirements, optimizing processes, and translating strategic objectives into scalable digital solutions. The role partners with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products and business initiatives by ensuring clear requirements, effective stakeholder alignment, and successful execution throughout the product development lifecycle.

What You'll Do

• Partner with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, validate, and document business, functional, and technical requirements.
• Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and feasibility studies to identify business opportunities and support strategic decision-making.
• Translate business requirements into user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, functional specifications, and other documentation for development teams.
• Work closely with Product Managers, Engineers, UX/UI Designers, QA teams, and business stakeholders throughout the product lifecycle to ensure successful solution delivery.
• Analyze existing business processes and identify opportunities for automation, optimization, and continuous improvement.
• Evaluate operational, financial, and technology-related risks, providing recommendations to mitigate potential issues.
• Support the creation of wireframes, prototypes, process diagrams, and workflow documentation to clearly communicate business requirements.
• Produce and maintain key project documentation, including Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), Functional Requirements Documents (FRDs), user stories, use cases, process maps, sequence diagrams, scope documents, and UAT plans.
• Support project planning by tracking milestones, maintaining issue logs, monitoring project progress, and ensuring project documentation remains up to date.
• Facilitate workshops, stakeholder meetings, and requirements gathering sessions to align business objectives with technical solutions.
• Collaborate with QA teams during testing cycles and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure delivered solutions meet business requirements.
• Monitor product performance following implementation, gather user feedback, and recommend enhancements to improve customer experience and product adoption.
• Identify project risks, issues, and dependencies, escalating them where appropriate to support successful project delivery.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 3–6 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Product Analyst, or in a similar role within a technology or digital transformation environment.
• Strong understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Proven experience gathering, documenting, and translating business requirements into functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Experience creating business documentation, process flows, use cases, wireframes, process maps, and workflow diagrams.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including Product, Engineering, UX/UI, QA, and business stakeholders.
• Knowledge of business process modelling methodologies such as BPMN, UML, or similar frameworks is an advantage.
• Experience using tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, Microsoft Visio, Figma, Miro, Lucidchart, or similar collaboration and documentation platforms.
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the business.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; Arabic is an advantage.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high standard of quality and accuracy.
