Job summary

Rixos Premium Saadiyat Island is seeking an experienced Bus Operations Team Lead to manage daily services for guests and staff on Saadiyat Island. You will guide drivers, coordinate routes, ensure safety and regulatory compliance, and maintain records.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in bus operations, strong leadership, excellent communication, and a valid driver’s license; proficiency in basic computer apps and Arabic a plus.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in bus operations or a related field.
• Proven leadership experience with excellent team management skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Effective problem‑solving and conflict resolution skills.
• Excellent time management and organizational capabilities.
• In‑depth knowledge of bus operations and safety regulations.
• Proficiency in basic computer applications.
• Familiarity with Abu Dhabi public transportation context.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of bus drivers, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback.
• Coordinate daily bus operations, including route assignments and scheduling.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and maintain accurate records.
• Address and resolve customer complaints and concerns.
• Implement and monitor driver training programs.
• Collaborate with maintenance teams to ensure proper vehicle upkeep.
• Analyze route efficiency and suggest improvements.
• Handle emergency situations and make quick, informed decisions.
• Prepare and submit reports on team performance and operational metrics.

• Proficiency in basic computer applications

• Valid driver's license
• First Aid and CPR certification (preferred)
• Familiarity with the public transportation industry in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates
• Experience in bus fleet management
• Thorough understanding of local safety protocols and regulations
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus
