Job summary

GEMS Wellington Academy, Al Khail in Dubai invites applications for a Computer Science Teacher to deliver the British Curriculum to primary-secondary students. The role starts January 2027 and requires strong subject knowledge and evidence-informed teaching.

You will plan and deliver lessons on programming, computational thinking, data, and GCSE/A-Level preparation, using structured explanations, modelling, and retrieval practice.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of experience teaching the National Curriculum of England.
• Experience in a British curriculum school.
• Excellent knowledge of Computer Science theory and programming.
• Strong classroom management and assessment skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality Computer Science lessons aligned with the National Curriculum of England.
• Teach programming concepts including variables, selection, iteration, functions, procedures, data structures, and debugging.
• Develop students' ability to design, write, test, and evaluate algorithms.
• Build computational thinking skills through decomposition, abstraction, pattern recognition, and logical reasoning.
• Teach core concepts related to computer architecture, hardware, software, operating systems, and data representation.
• Prepare students for GCSE, A-Level, or other relevant Computer Science examinations where applicable.
