Job summary

ScriptoFi in Dubai is seeking a Blockchain Engineer to architect, develop, and ship secure, scalable dApps and on-chain features. You will work end-to-end, integrating on-chain logic with off-chain systems, while contributing to DeFi protocol functionality and security in production environments.

The role requires deep Solidity expertise, Ethereum L1 experience, and hands-on DeFi experience. You will collaborate with the Technical Lead and cross-functional teams, operating in a fast-paced Web3

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software engineering with a blockchain focus.
• Expert proficiency in Solidity with deep knowledge of EVM internals and upgrade patterns.
• Experience on Ethereum L1 mainnet deployments (production), not just testnets.
• Hands-on DeFi protocol experience (lending, staking, AMM or similar).
• Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript; Python/Go/Rust preferred.
• Experience with Hardhat and Foundry.
• Strong smart contract security knowledge and auditing practices.
• English written and spoken; UAE work eligibility.

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

Scriptofi is expanding its Dubai team and is looking for a Blockchain Engineer who combines deep protocol-level expertise with a builder's mindset — to architect, develop, and ship secure, scalable decentralised applications at the frontier of Web3 and AI. This role goes beyond writing smart contracts. You will independently build and ship features end-to-end, working within the architecture — integrating on-chain logic, off-chain systems, and DeFi protocol mechanics into production‑grade decentralised applications. You will work directly with the Technical Lead, product managers, and engineering peers — owning your feature surface from design through deployment. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design, develop, and ship smart contracts and on-chain features targeting Ethereum L1 mainnet — production‑grade, audit‑ready, and gas‑optimised.
• Build secure, efficient, and upgradeable smart contracts in Solidity with deep attention to vulnerability patterns and auditability.
• Develop and maintain decentralised applications (dApps) with seamless Web3 wallet and Ethereum protocol integrations.
• Implement token standards, governance mechanisms, staking systems, and DeFi protocol features (lending, AMMs, vaults, etc.).
• Connect smart contracts with backend systems, REST/GraphQL APIs, and third‑party infrastructure services.
• Lead and participate in architecture reviews, technical discussions, and code reviews to maintain engineering excellence.
• Maintain high standards for code quality, test coverage, security hardening, and technical documentation.

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience with a strong focus on blockchain development.
• Expert proficiency in Solidity — mandatory; deep knowledge of EVM internals, contract patterns, and upgrade mechanisms.
• Real Ethereum L1 mainnet experience — production deployments, not just testnets or L2s.
• Hands-on experience building or contributing to a DeFi protocol — lending, staking, AMM, or equivalent.
• Proficiency in JavaScript / TypeScript; working knowledge of Python and Go or Rust preferred.
• Experience with development and testing frameworks: Hardhat and Foundry.
• Strong understanding of smart contract security, common vulnerability patterns, and auditing best practices.
• Experience integrating wallets (MetaMask, WalletConnect), oracles (Chainlink), and Web3 infrastructure providers.
• Proficiency with AI coding agents and multi-agent workflows as part of day-to-day engineering practice.
• Clear written and spoken English, with the ability to document technical decisions concisely.
• Eligible to work in the United Arab Emirates.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 1) Experience with EVM-compatible chains: Polygon, BNB Chain, Arbitrum, Optimism, or similar.
• 2) Experience with non-EVM chains: Solana, Aptos, Sui, Cosmos, or similar Layer-1 ecosystems.
• 3) Familiarity with Layer-2 scaling solutions, rollup architecture, and cross-chain bridging.
• 4) On-chain security monitoring, threat detection, and smart contract incident response.
• 5) Experience deploying and managing infrastructure on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• 6) Exposure to DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automated smart contract deployment workflows.
• 7) Awareness of the UAE virtual asset regulatory environment (VARA / ADGM) and how compliance requirements shape protocol and product decisions.
• 8) Prior experience working in a Web3 team in the UAE or the wider GCC.

Pay: AED1,000.00 - AED3,000.00 per month
