We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Biochemical Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in the design development and optimization of biochemical processes for the production of bio-based products pharmaceuticals renewable energy etc.. This role involves working cross-functionally with research scientists process engineers and quality assurance teams to ensure efficient and scalable production.

Key Responsibilities:Design and optimize biochemical processes including fermentation cell culture enzymatic reactions and downstream purification.
Scale laboratory processes to pilot and industrial scale ensuring process efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Collaborate with R&D and manufacturing teams to implement new bioprocess technologies.
Conduct process simulations and risk assessments to improve yield throughput and safety.
Develop and maintain process documentation including SOPs batch records and process flow diagrams (PFDs).
Analyze experimental data and prepare technical reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with environmental health and safety (EHS) regulations and industry standards (e.g. GMP ISO).
Evaluate and select equipment materials and technologies suitable for biochemical manufacturing.
Bachelors or Masters degree in Biochemical Engineering Chemical Engineering Biotechnology or a related field. Ph.D. is a plus.
25 years of hands-on experience in bioprocess development or biochemical manufacturing.
Strong understanding of biochemistry microbiology and chemical engineering principles.
Proficiency in using bioreactors chromatography systems and analytical instruments (e.g. HPLC GC spectrophotometers).
Experience with process modeling software (e.g. Aspen Plus SuperPro Designer) is a plus.
Excellent problem-solving communication and team collaboration skills.
Experience working in GMP-regulated environments.
Knowledge of metabolic engineering or synthetic biology.
Familiarity with PAT (Process Analytical Technology) and QbD (Quality by Design) principles.
