This hybrid role combines strategic bid leadership with hands-on technical engagement reviewing designs, leading client and consultant meetings, and negotiating with subcontractors and suppliers.

The ideal candidate is commercially astute, technically rigorous, and confident in building trusted relationships with clients during early design phases. The goal is to secure projects that are innovative, buildable, and profitable.

Responsibilities
  • Bid & Tender Leadership: Lead ECI bids from pre-qualification through to final submission. Ensure full compliance with client requirements and BESIX standards. Manage bid deliverables across technical, commercial, and contractual domains. Develop winning strategies that integrate innovation, value engineering, and risk mitigation. Coordinate cross-functional collaboration between Tender, Engineering, Planning, Procurement, and Commercial teams.
  • Technical & Design Management: Review and challenge concept and detailed designs for constructability, risk, and cost efficiency. Provide technical leadership in client and consultant meetings during the ECI phase. Propose innovative design solutions and alternatives to enhance project value. Ensure technical clarifications and presentations are well-prepared and effectively delivered. Act as a bridge between BESIX’s in-house engineering teams, planning team and the tender strategy.
  • Commercial & Subcontractor Engagement: Develop pricing strategies in collaboration with Engineering, Procurement, and Commercial teams. Prepare and issue subcontractor inquiries; review offers and lead negotiations on technical and commercial terms. Ensure subcontractor scope, pricing, and methodologies align with BESIX’s tender strategy. Participate in client negotiations to strengthen BESIX’s technical and commercial positioning.

Skills and Competencies :

  • Ability to balance technical depth with commercial insight.
  • Strong leadership and coordination skills across multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Proactive, innovative, and solution-oriented, with the ability to anticipate client needs.

  • Minimum 15 years of experience in tendering, design management, or project engineering for major building projects.
