Hilton's Waldorf Astoria Ras Al Khaimah is seeking a Bell Attendant to warmly welcome guests, assist with luggage, and escort guests to rooms. You will coordinate luggage handling, ensure safe transport, and maintain storage areas while delivering exceptional service.

Physical stamina, clear communication, and a professional appearance are essential. This on-site role offers an opportunity to contribute to a luxury guest experience within our award-winning hospitality team.

Here’s what you’ll do during a typical day:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Retrieve guest items from cars, busses, vans and carts. Grasp, lift, carry and/or load luggage and packages onto a bell cart to transport items throughout hotel to designated room. Navigate trolley through public areas, guest room corridors and to elevators.
• Escort guests and to their rooms, inspecting rooms visually, pointing out room features.
• Listen and respond to guest inquiries using a clear speaking voice, providing accurate information regarding outlet hours, directions, hotel services etc.
• Organize and store luggage as necessary in storage room.
• Greet customers immediately with a friendly and sincere welcome; remaining calm and attentive especially during emergencies.

Answer queries from guests, referring them to contact points at which they can obtain further information.

Ensure a speedy resolution to any problems that may arise on shift

Escort the guest to the room and explain all hotel and room’s facilities.

SUPPORTIVE FUNCTION

In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the supervisor based upon the particular requirements of the company.

Retrieveandinputsdatafromacomputerterminalinanaccurate,error-freemanner.

AnswertheBelldeskphoneandprovideinformationasneeded.

Liaise with other departments regarding matters arising e.g. Security, Housekeeping, Engineering, Accounting, Food & Beverage etc.

Report to the Bell Captain/Front Office Manager any maintenance that needs attention at the lobby.

Follow through these maintenance issues when required.

Assist with the duties of other departments if limited staff and upon management request.

If in possession of a valid driving license, assist with parking cars when required.

• In case of having a valid UAE driver’s license, you may be required to assist with guest transportation by driving the hotel’s limousine with prior approval of the management. Your license will be registered with the limousine leasing company and RAK Transport Authority.
• Transportation of guests include guests of all Al Hamra companies and is not limited to Waldorf Astoria guests.

What It Takes to Make the Stay

The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities.

• Ability to understand and follow written and or verbal instructions.
• Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact and diplomacy to defuse anger and collect accurate information..
• Ability to read English language sufficient to ascertain information from luggage tags and claim checks to write numbers and names on claim checks and rooming lists.
• Ability to grasp, lift and/or carry or otherwise move packages, boxes and luggage up to 50 Lbs continuously throughout shift.
• Ability to stand, walk and/or sit and continuously perform essential job functions.
• Sufficient manual dexterity in one hand to be able to load and unload luggage.
• Ability to perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, kneeling, and walking significant distances on property.
