Make your mark as a Base GIS / CAD Technician at Horizon Geosciences!

The Base GIS / CAD Technician must ensure that all survey GIS / charting assigned work performed by the Company is accurate correct and meets the quality expectations of the Company and the Clients. The Base GIS / CAD Technician is responsible for conducting GIS / charting activities required by different projects in accordance with the company standards instructions and priorities provided by the reporting functional heads.

Responsibilities

• Conduct GIS updates / charting and simple processing activities as directed by the GIS Coordinator or Chief Data Processor.
• Maintaining survey information filing system and database.
• QC of project charts upon return from the field (When required).
• Maintain and develop companys GIS / CAD standards.

Qualifications

• Education at level or similar education.
• Minimum of 2 years relevant experience with AutoCAD / GIS software for surveying applications.
• Fluent in written and spoken English (as per the Horizon Communication Policy).
• Conversant with equipment and software used within the Company.
