Job summary

Gulf News in Dubai is seeking a friendly Barista/Waiter to enhance the cafe experience by taking orders, preparing beverages, and serving sandwiches. You will ensure a smooth handover between barista and waiter duties and deliver excellent service.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years in a fast-paced coffee concept, fluent English, a polished appearance, strong customer service skills, and teamwork. Weekend and holiday shifts are required; medical insurance is provided.

Job description

Responsibilities:

• As a Barista/Waiter at our Coffee shop, you will play a dual role in enhancing our customers’ dining experience.
• Taking Orders: Interact with customers to understand their preferences and take accurate orders for coffee, tea, and other beverages.
• Beverage Preparation: Skillfully prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including coffee, espresso, protein shakes, fresh juices and specialty drinks.
• Food and Beverage Service: Serve orders promptly and ensure that customers receive their desired sandwiches, providing a seamless transition between the barista and waiter duties.
• Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries, offering recommendations, and ensuring overall satisfaction.
• Cash Handling: Handle transactions accurately, process payments, and maintain a clean and organized cash register.
• Maintaining Cleanliness: Contribute to the cleanliness and tidiness of the coffee preparation, service area, and dining space, ensuring a pleasant and inviting atmosphere for our guests.

Qualifications:

• Barista Skills: Experience in preparing and serving a variety of beverages, including coffee, tea, protein shakes, fresh juices and specialty drinks.
• Waiter Skills: Ability to take orders, serve coffee and sandwiches, and ensure a positive dining experience for our guests.

Requirements:
