Dorchester Collection Dubai is seeking a Barista to deliver exceptional beverage experiences in our luxury hotel in Dubai. You will lead day-to-day beverage operations, train the team, and curate bespoke coffee menus.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of professional barista experience in luxury settings.
• Advanced barista certifications preferred.
• Deep knowledge of global coffee origins, roasting profiles, bean extraction, milk chemistry, and latte art.
• Proven leadership experience training a service team to excellence.
• Strong inventory awareness and beverage cost controls.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day beverage operations of the F&B outlet to ensure top-quality guest experience.
• Assist in creating and maintaining the beverage menu, focusing on coffees, teas, and specialties.
• Train and mentor the service team with emphasis on coffee knowledge and latte art.
• Design and curate bespoke beverage menus with specialty coffees and rare teas.
• Stay ahead of global coffee trends and innovative brewing methods.
• Lead pre-service briefings and coordinate with supporting departments for presentation and maintenance.
• Ensure beverage preparation quality, presentation, and inventory control.

What you'll do

You’ll love what you do and take pride in delighting our guests:

• You will be responsible for the day-to-day beverage operations of the F&B outlet to ensure our guests receive nothing but the best experience.
• Beverages are your passion, you will assist with creating and maintaining the beverage menu’s our hotel will offer, exceeding our guests' expectations every time with a focus on hot beverages including coffees, tea’s and others.
• You will also be in charge of training and mentoring the entire restaurant team with a focus on coffee’s, ensuring their knowledge is second to none and they are able to assist our guests in the best possible way.
• Coffee and artisanal beverages are your passion; you will design and curate the hotel's bespoke beverage menus, consistently exceeding expectations with a master focus on specialty coffees, rare teas, and custom infusions.
• You are an expert on global coffee trends, continuously innovating with unique brewing methods and bean origins to ensure our program remains at the absolute pinnacle of international hospitality.
• You will lead the training and mentorship of the entire service team, elevating their coffee knowledge and latte art skills to a level that is second to none.
• By leading and engaging in daily pre-service briefings, you stay fully aligned with the guests' arrivals and upcoming bespoke services.
• You seamlessly collaborate with supporting departments to ensure the immaculate presentation and flawless maintenance of your area.
• In partnership with your service colleagues, you guarantee an uncompromising standard of beverage preparation, sophisticated presentation, and quality control.

What you'll bring

• You’ll bring your unique personality and passion to the role and the team with your can-do spirit and a positive attitude at all times.
• A minimum of 2–3 years of professional barista experience within a five-star hotel, luxury resort, or high-end specialty coffee boutique.
• Advanced barista certifications from recognized bodies, are highly preferred.
• Deep, specialized knowledge of global coffee origins, roasting profiles, bean extraction, milk chemistry, and advanced latte art.
• Proven leadership skills with experience training, mentoring, and inspiring a service team to achieve coffee excellence.
• Strong commercial awareness with an understanding of inventory management, beverage cost controls, and revenue-driving strategies.
