Job summary

Talabat is hiring a Barista to join our tMart concept in the UAE. You will craft coffee, drinks and food to recipe standards, manage ingredients, and ensure fast, high-quality service across all orders.

You will label, store, and rotate stock to keep products fresh and safe, while maintaining clean, compliant workstations. The role requires at least 2 years as a barista, strong English skills, and comfort interacting with diverse teams and executives.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• M ake all coffee, drinks and food to standards per recipes and Barista Workbook.
• Recognise every ingredient and can make every recipe.
• Follow recipe cards to standards; maintain speed and quality.
• Ensure 100% product availability within range parameters.
• Label and store products correctly; rotate stock (FIFO) for freshness.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness in fridges, storage areas and workstation.
• Prepare drinks and food to Everyday Coffee standards and record temperatures.

About the opportunity

We’re looking for a Barista to join the team and focus on growing our own Grocery Store “tMart”, which is the region’s first cloud store concept offering 30-minutedelivery of groceries at hypermarket prices. The service has expanded rapidly across Kuwait, UAE, Qatar, Jordan, Bahrain, Egypt, Oman and Iraq!

• Makes all coffee, drinks and food to standards – adheres to recipe specifications, Barista Workbook and food skills
• Recognizes every ingredient and can make every recipe
• Follow recipe cards to standards
• Ensures speed and quality of service standards are always maintained
• Works efficiently to prepare orders and delivers to standard to every order
• Labels and stores products correctly and in the right conditions
• FIFO – displays older food first. Rotates stock so food and drinks are always fresh

What you need to be successful

• At least 2 years of being a barista
• You are very detail-oriented, structured and know how to prioritize -- you consider yourself as someone who delivers solutions and not bottlenecks to be solved.
• Additionally, you have robust interpersonal and intercultural skills. You can inspire several teams and stakeholders to rally behind a mission.
• You are able to interact with senior-level executives and can manage the expectations of multiple stakeholders.
• You are someone energized by the unknown and look forward to learning each day on the job.
• You have excellent analytical and communication skills, and always like to be hands-on with several tools.
• Language skills: Fluent English and Arabic would be highly advantageous.
