Job summary

OVI on behalf of a client seeks an internal audit professional in the UAE with banking experience to assess governance, risk management, and controls across Corporate, Retail, Treasury and Risk functions. You will work with minimal supervision, using IA tools to deliver high-quality audits and develop team members.

You will communicate in English and Arabic, understand UAE Central Bank expectations, and collaborate across departments while maintaining independence.

Qualifications

• UAE National; bachelor degree in finance, accounts or economics.
• Minimum 3 years banking experience with >1 year in banking audit.
• Proficient in English and Arabic writing and speaking.
• Hands-on with audit management software and GRC tools.
• Knowledge of UAE banking regulations and local laws.

Responsibilities

• Identify controls weaknesses across Corporate, Retail, Treasury and Risk units.
• Audit in line with IIA Standards and internal policy manuals.
• Support Auditor in Charge in TOI and Audit Planning Memorandum.
• Prepare test programmes for assigned engagement areas.
• Complete audits on time with proper working papers.
• Assist in finalising audit reports with recommendations follow-up.
• Maintain independence and build stakeholder relationships.
• Participate in special assignments as required.
