Binance is seeking a Backend Engineer intern on the Pay & Card team to build backend services powering crypto and fiat payments globally. You will work with backend engineers, product managers, QA, and cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, secure services for Binance Pay and Card products.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• Strong CS fundamentals: data structures, algorithms.
• Proficiency in at least one backend language (Java/Go/Python/C++).
• Knowledge of relational databases, SQL, transactions.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and client-server architecture.
• Understanding of operating systems, concurrency, and backend concepts.
• Ability to write clear, maintainable code and learn quickly.
• Strong communication in a fast-moving engineering environment.

Responsabilités

• Design, develop, test, and maintain backend services for Binance Pay and Card products.
• Build scalable APIs and microservices for payment processing, transaction mgmt, and merchant services.
• Develop distributed systems for high-volume, latency-sensitive transactions.
• Work with databases, caching, message queues to improve performance and reliability.
• Implement robust transaction workflows with retries, idempotency, concurrency handling.
• Troubleshoot production issues via logs, metrics, tracing, and root-cause analysis.
• Write clean, well-tested code and participate in code reviews.
• Collaborate with product and engineering to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Contribute to reliability, observability, security and engineering practices.
