Job summary

Fingerprint seeks a backend engineer to design, develop, and optimize real-time data processing and web services in a fast-paced environment. You will build scalable backend systems, implement robust APIs, and ensure low-latency performance for mission-critical applications in Dubai.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, conduct deep dives into issues, perform thorough testing, and participate in an on-call rotation.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of backend development experience.
• Experience designing and maintaining scalable backend systems.
• Strong experience with APIs, real-time data processing, and microservices.
• Proficiency with SQL and databases like DynamoDB, Redis, or Elasticsearch.
• Git, IDEs, shell scripting, and CI/CD proficiency.
• Proficient in English for clear communication.

Preferred Qualifications

• BS/MS in Computer Science or related field


• Experience with Terraform or AWS CloudFormation


• Experience with ClickHouse, dbt, Snowflake, or BigQuery


• Experience with observability tools like Datadog


• Understanding of containerization and orchestration like Docker and Kubernetes


• Experience with large open-source projects


• Understanding of Internet security and privacy mechanisms
