Job summary

Avanza Solutions is looking for a talented candidate in Dubai to leverage their skills in Java and microservices. The ideal candidate will collaborate with business analysts to translate business needs into technical requirements and possess strong knowledge of Java technologies, RESTful services, and container orchestration. Familiarity with NoSQL and SQL databases is a plus.

This role requires a self-driven individual capable of completing design, development, and unit testing effectively. You will also engage with CI/CD practices and DevOps methodologies.

Job description

• Ability to collaborate with business analysts to translate business into technical requirements
• Proficiency in Java (1.8 or later), JUnit, Spring Boot, REST, JSON
• Strong knowledge of object-oriented analysis and design, software design patterns and Java coding principles
• Spring core, Spring Boot, Spring Data and Spring Cloud (nice to have)
• Experience with NoSQL and SQL databases: Oracle, MSSQL, MongoDB
• Self-driven and able to understand requirements, complete the design and development as well as unit tests
• Hands‑on experience with microservices, Docker, containers and cloud orchestration frameworks
• Well versed with publishing API, CI/CD and DevOps
• Candidate should be able to initiate and explore alternate technology and approaches to solving problems
• Preferred experience with template engines (e.g., Freemaker)
