Job summary

VerityX Talent in Dubai seeks an experienced Data Tech Lead to own the architecture, design, and delivery of enterprise Azure data platforms. You will steer data engineering, lakehouse, governance, and GenAI workloads across teams, ensuring scalable, secure, and cost-effective solutions.

You will partner with BI, data science, and business stakeholders to define strategy, standards, and best practices, and mentor a team of data engineers and architects in a fast-moving fintech/commerce context.

Qualifications

• Own end-to-end Azure Data Platform architecture and strategy.
• Lead data ingestion and integration with ADF, Event Hubs, APIs.
• Provide technical leadership to data engineers, architects, and dev teams.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end Azure Data Platform architecture, data strategy, and roadmap.
• Design scalable Data Lake/Lakehouse architectures using ADLS Gen2 and Delta Lake.
• Lead data ingestion and integration using Azure Data Factory, Event Hubs, and APIs.
• Design batch and real-time data processing using Azure Databricks, Spark, and SQL.
• Establish Bronze, Silver, and Gold data layers and enterprise data models.
• Define data governance, catalog, classification, lineage, and access controls using Microsoft Purview and Unity Catalog.
• Design data quality, observability, security, encryption, and regulatory controls.
• Build data platforms supporting BI, analytics, Data Science, ML, and GenAI workloads.
• Integrate operational data sources including Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, APIs, and enterprise applications.
• Provide technical leadership to data engineers, architects, and development teams.
• Establish enterprise standards, reference architectures, and best practices across data platforms.
