Job summary

CoreAxis in Sharjah, UAE, is seeking an Azure Cloud Engineer to design, deploy, and maintain cloud infrastructure for enterprise solutions across development, staging, and production. You will work with DevOps pipelines, IaC, and Azure-native services to ensure high availability, security, and performance.

Responsibilities include building Azure infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, IaC implementation, and security practices.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience with Microsoft Azure (compute, networking, storage, databases).
• Proficiency in at least one IaC tool: Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions).
• Understanding of cloud security practices, identity management, and monitoring/alerting (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics).
• Familiarity with containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes) is a strong plus.
• Azure certifications (AZ-104, AZ-305, or AZ-400) are preferred.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced consulting environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and deploy Azure infrastructure (App Services, Functions, AKS, SQL, Virtual Networks) for client projects.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions for automated deployments.
• Implement infrastructure-as-code using Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates.
• Monitor and optimise cloud environments for cost, performance, and reliability.
• Implement security best practices including identity management (Azure AD/Entra ID), RBAC, and network policies.
• Support disaster-recovery planning, backup strategies, and compliance requirements.
• Collaborate with development and integration teams to ensure cloud-ready application architectures.
• Document infrastructure designs, runbooks, and operational procedures.
