Job summary

GAL Global Aerospace Logistics in United Arab Emirates seeks an Avionics Technician specializing in 2nd line Armament/Electrical and Avionics systems for AH-64E platforms. You will inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical, avionics, and armament subsystems to maintain mission readiness.

You will document maintenance actions, follow TAMMS-A and DA PAM 738-751 guidelines, and mentor junior technicians as needed to ensure a capable, self-sufficient workforce in a fast-paced aviation environment.

Qualifications

  • Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and test aircraft electrical, avionics, armament systems per publications and regulations.
  • Document maintenance using TAMMS-A, DA PAM 738-751, and SOPs.
  • Share knowledge and mentor trainees to enable self-sufficient armament and electrical repair capabilities.
  • Carry out tasks from the supervisor in support of the maintenance team.

Responsibilities

  • Perform inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and testing of aircraft electrical, avionics, armament systems and equipment in accordance with applicable technical publications, applicable regulations, and company and local policies and procedures. Assists in ensuring aircraft and equipment are maintained in a high state of mission readiness.
  • Documentation of maintenance using forms and records in accordance with TAMMS-A (The Army Maintenance Management System - Aviation), DA PAM 738-751, applicable technical publications, regulations, and company / local SOP’s (Standard Operating Procedures).
  • Impart the knowledge of duties and responsibilities in such a manner (advice, support, and On the Job Training to customer trainees) to permit assimilation into the workforce; the final aim being to enable the customer's technicians to attain gradual full capacity to carry out self-sufficient aircraft armament / electrical repair capability.
  • Carry out all assigned tasks from the immediate Supervisor in support of the maintenance team and unit operations.

Avionics Technician - 2nd Line Armament/ Electrical
Overview

Performs duties as an AH-64E Armament/Electrical/Avionics systems repairer, inspects and performs aviation unit, intermediate and depot maintenance on the AH 64D Armament, Electrical and Avionics System to include the Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical and Pneudraulic systems associated with AH-64E Armament / Missile fire control systems. Carries out directives from the Supervisor in support of the maintenance team and unit operations.
