Job summary

Emirates Engineering in Dubai is seeking a Procurement Controller to manage purchasing of aircraft spares, BFE, tools and Retrofit items to support engineering and dispatch reliability. You will optimize resources, liaise with internal stakeholders and vendors, and ensure timely sourcing and PO releases within approved budgets.

The role emphasizes KPI tracking, supplier performance, and cost efficiency, with leadership responsibilities and adherence to EK procedures and contracts.

Qualifications

• Experience of more than 5+ years in a similar role within aviation or MRO.
• Degree or Honours in a related field; professional certifications are a plus.
• A level education may be considered with additional years of relevant experience.
• Industry experience in Supply Chain is preferable (Warehouse and Logistics, Repair Management, Material Planning/Support & Inventory Control).
• Aircraft spares purchasing experience is preferable. Airlines or MRO work experience will be considered at least 3 years in a leadership/supervisory role.
• Thorough knowledge of inventory systems, models and forecasting. Familiar with repair, warranty, stores, inventory, and quality interfaces.
• Knowledge of Boeing PSAA and Airbus SSC contractual terms is preferable.

Responsibilities

• Perform resource workload analysis and recommend improvements.
• Establish relationships with internal stakeholders and vendors; escalate disputes as needed.
• Ensure timely sourcing, purchasing and borrowing of assigned items within policy; secure approvals for higher values.
• Track KPIs like overdue orders and supplier performance; implement corrective actions.
• Support price and lead time reviews with CMU and challenge variances.
• Ensure timely clearance of invoices and resolve store discrepancies with vendors.
• Monitor materials spend and evaluate contracted vs non-contracted items; report adverse trends.
• Analyze supply chain data and recommend new systems and procedures.
