Job summary

ikonhouse seeks an In-Vehicle Safety Driver to support safe testing and operation of autonomous vehicles in real-world road environments. You will work with autonomous vehicles during testing, ensuring tasks are conducted safely, accurately and per procedures.

The role involves real-world road testing, hardware/software test support, and coordination with technical teams to validate autonomous systems and provide safe VIP vehicle experiences when required.

Qualifications

• Experience in automotive operations or vehicle testing preferred.
• Strong road safety awareness and safe driving practices.
• Comfortable with autonomous vehicle systems and new technologies.
• Good reporting and communication skills.
• Ability to follow detailed safety procedures.
• Responsible, safety-focused, and able to stay focused during vehicle operations.
• Valid UAE driving licence preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate within autonomous vehicles during real-world road testing and operational activities.
• Support hardware and software update testing.
• Conduct road testing and routine road-running activities.
• Support operational testing and autonomous vehicle validation activities.
• Participate in special experience and demonstration sessions.
• Support VIP vehicle experience activities where required.
• Assist with cloud-cabin and connected vehicle testing.
• Identify and report operational or safety concerns during vehicle activities.
• Follow established safety procedures and operational instructions at all times.
• Coordinate with operational and technical teams to ensure testing activities are completed safely.
