Job summary

Moove seeks a junior-to-mid level Vehicle Technician in Dubai to inspect and validate AV hardware, including Lidar, Radar, cameras, and mounting systems. You will verify wiring, perform functional checks, and document findings to support safe deployment.

You will work with engineering and the AV Safety Manager to identify defects, track issues, and ensure mechanical assemblies remain in spec. The role emphasizes safety, precision, and hands-on hardware expertise.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Physics or Mechanical engineering or related field.
  • 2–5 years in hardware testing or AV/industrial hardware operations.
  • Hands-on with optical/electrical/sensor hardware; Lidar/Radar familiarity a plus.
  • Experience with mechanical assembly, torque tools, and vehicle maintenance.
  • Comfortable with diagnostic tools and onboard vehicle systems.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect AV hardware such as Lidar, Radar, cameras, and compute units to validate installation and condition.
  • Perform functional hardware checks and sensor readiness validations before deployment.
  • Conduct post-maintenance inspections to confirm issues are resolved.
  • Inspect mounting hardware, cable routing, and IP seals for integrity.
  • Maintain logs and QA records for traceability in fleet systems.
  • Identify defects and escalate through non-conformance processes.
  • Follow high-voltage safety, lockout/tagout, and safety protocols.
