Job summary

Star Services LLC in Abu Dhabi, UAE, is seeking a roadside assistance technician to support autonomous delivery vehicles. You will perform on-site diagnosis, basic repairs, and routine maintenance to keep the fleet safe and operational.

The role requires a Diploma/ Vocational qualification in automotive/mechanical fields, a UAE driving licence, strong hands-on skills, and willingness to work outdoors and in field conditions, with on-call shifts.

Qualifications

Diploma or vocational qualification in automotive, mechanical, electrical, or related field preferred.
Experience in vehicle maintenance, roadside assistance, fleet servicing, or similar hands-on roles.
EV/robotics/autonomous vehicle experience is a plus.
Valid UAE driving licence and own vehicle are mandatory.
Good troubleshooting and basic repair skills.

Responsibilities

Respond to vehicle breakdowns and perform on-site diagnosis and basic troubleshooting.
Coordinate vehicle recovery/towing when on-site repair is not possible.
Perform routine and corrective mechanical/electrical repairs as authorised.
Support preventive maintenance and maintain repair/service records.
Conduct exterior inspections and minor touch-ups, coating/wrap maintenance, and damage reporting.
Perform regular interior and exterior cleaning of vehicles/robots.
Record incidents, repairs, parts usage, and vehicle downtime.
Coordinate with operations and charging/staging teams for vehicle availability.
Escalate complex technical issues to engineering/technical teams.
