Job summary

DeepLight AI is seeking a hands-on Applied AI Engineer - Agentic Systems in Dubai to design, build, and deploy LLM-powered autonomous agents and multi-step agentic workflows for real-world enterprise use cases. You will bridge expert AI capabilities with production software engineering, integrating tool calls, state management, and external APIs to create auditable AI applications.

You will work on architecting autonomous workflows, master context engineering and RAG, secure API integrations,

Qualifications

• Experience implementing AI agents, multi-agent frameworks, tool calling, and state management systems.
• Advanced Python focus on maintainability, testing (pytest), code reviews, and Git.
• Experience integrating LLM APIs, prompts, structured outputs, and handling tool failures.
• Ability to evaluate LLM apps with task sets, failure analysis, regression testing, and tracing tools.
• Balance decisions across reasoning quality, reliability, latency and cost.

Responsibilities

• Architect multi-step autonomous workflows and state machines for enterprise tasks.
• Build context management and RAG modules to ground agent reasoning.
• Create secure API integrations to enterprise databases and legacy apps.
• Develop production-ready Python with tests, validation, fallback logic and HITL controls.
• Instrument tracing and evaluation to benchmark performance and optimize costs.
• Collaborate with client tech teams to translate processes into clear designs.
