Job summary

Jobgether partner in the United Arab Emirates seeks a Test Craftsperson/Automation engineer to own testing across the SDLC in a remote-first environment. You will build and evolve automation frameworks, leverage AI judiciously to improve test cases, and collaborate with product teams and clients to ensure stable releases.

The role combines functional testing, automation, programming, and infrastructure work, with emphasis on quality and craftsmanship, agile practices, and DevOps alignment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years hands-on Automation QA/Test Engineer experience.
• Strong testing methodologies and commitment to quality.
• Cypress or Playwright with JavaScript.
• Experience building test automation frameworks from scratch.
• BDD experience with Cucumber and Gherkin.
• Knowledge of HTML and jQuery.
• Ability to write SQL queries for data validation; Linux basics.
• Experience with test servers and cloud technologies.
• Interest in DevOps and CI/CD (Jenkins, Bamboo, GitHub Actions).
• Experience using AI tools to enhance testing and AI coding assistants.
• Adaptable to new languages, tools, and stacks.
• Familiarity with Agile/XP, including pair testing.
• Strong ownership, integrity, and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end testing across the full SDLC in a CD environment.
• Plan and execute functional and automated testing; develop test scenarios.
• Build and evolve automation frameworks with modern tech.
• Leverage AI to generate test cases and data while maintaining quality.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts; troubleshoot failures.
• Understand user behavior to ensure stability and safe deployments.
• Collaborate with analysts to align to product roadmaps and sprints.
• Work with DevOps teams to support release cycles.
