Job summary

Tether seeks an Automation QA Engineer to own desktop and mobile test automation, plus manual and exploratory testing across our applications. You will help ensure robust releases and fast feedback by integrating tests into our CI/CD pipelines.

Candidates should have 4+ years in QA automation, strong TS/JS skills, and hands-on experience with Playwright, WebdriverIO, Appium, and testing Electron/React Native apps on real devices. Remote-friendly role in the UAE and beyond.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in QA automation with hands-on manual and exploratory testing experience.
• Strong programming skills in TypeScript/JavaScript.
• Experience running tests in CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions).
• Hands-on experience with Playwright for desktop/web and WebdriverIO + Appium for mobile.
• Experience testing Electron and/or React Native apps on real devices.
• Experience using AI tools in QA and evaluating their outputs.

Responsibilities

• Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines and keep them fast and reliable.
• Investigate failures, fix flaky tests, and manage test data and environments.
• Report clear, reproducible bugs and verify fixes.

• Select manual or automated coverage based on risk and maintain regression suites.

About The Job

• Perform hands‑on functional, exploratory, and regression testing of new features
• Choose manual or automated coverage based on risk; maintain regression suites.

Mandatory

• 4+ years in QA automation, plus hands‑on manual and exploratory testing experience.
• Strong programming skills in TypeScript/JavaScript.
• Experience running tests in CI/CD pipelines (for example, GitHub Actions).
• Hands‑on experience with Playwright for desktop or web, and WebdriverIO + Appium for mobile.
• Experience testing Electron and/or React Native apps, including on real iOS and Android devices.
• Experience using AI tools in QA and critically reviewing their output. Testing AI‑powered applications is a plus.
