Job summary

Standard Auditing in the Dubai office is seeking a detail-oriented Audit Assistant to support audit and tax assignments for a portfolio of clients. You will assist in audit procedures, prepare working papers, and coordinate with clients to gather documentation.

You will manage multiple assignments, meet deadlines, review documents for accuracy, and maintain compliant records in line with firm and regulatory standards. Some client site visits with senior auditors are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.
• Professional certification in progress (CA, ACCA, CPA) is preferred but not mandatory.
• Basic knowledge of audit procedures, accounting standards, and Corporate Tax concepts.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and document management.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in reviewing documents and computations.
• Good communication skills for client coordination and internal reporting.
• Ability to manage deadlines and handle multiple assignments.
• Willingness to visit client sites for vouching and verification.
• Professional conduct and confidentiality in handling client information.

Responsibilities

• Assist in audit procedures and prepare working papers.
• Coordinate with clients for required documentation.
• Review and organize client documents on the server for audit and tax assignments.
• Prepare onboarding documents including Engagement Letters and KYC forms.
• Prepare initial audit drafts after confirming complete documentation.
• Conduct client visits with senior auditors for vouching and verification.
• Review final audit drafts prepared by senior auditors for accuracy.
• Assist in preparing audit working papers including MRL.
• Prepare draft corporate tax computations and maintain documentation.
• Submit tax returns after client approval and save acknowledgements.
• Track tax deadlines and update the tax MIS regularly.
