Job summary

KEOLIS Group seeks a skilled ATC Maintenance Supervisor to lead a line maintenance team responsible for the Dubai Metro's Automatic Train Control system. You will oversee preventive and corrective maintenance across CMS, VCC, central control, and onboard/wayside equipment, ensuring safety and reliability.

The role requires strong leadership, hands-on technical expertise with signalling systems, and the ability to produce clear reports using CMMS. UAE driving licence is essential.

Qualifications

• IRSE license on railway signalling would be an advantage.
• Experience with electrical/electronic control equipment in maintenance is preferred.
• Supervisory experience in leading a team of technicians is desirable.
• Holder of UAE driving licence with good driving skill is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead ATC technicians in preventive and corrective maintenance on ATC systems across CMS, VCC, central control, onboard and wayside equipment.
• Supervise installation, servicing and repair of signalling and train control systems in control centres, depots, and along tracks.
• Ensure proper use of tools and reference drawings during repairs and maintenance.
• Oversee replacement of faulty signalling equipment and handover to electronics workshop for repair.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records using a CMMS.
• Ensure maintenance tools and equipment are in good condition.
• Provide technical support for complex systems or new projects.
• Assist subordinates with training and assessment.

Job description

The purpose of this position is to supervise and lead a line maintenance team to provide comprehensive engineering and maintenance services covering the Automatic Train Control (ATC) system for Dubai Metro.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead a team of ATC technicians to carry out all level of preventive and corrective maintenance and minor modifications activities on automatic train control system covering System Management Centre, Vehicle Control Centre, central control (vital and non-vital), vehicle on-board equipment and lineside equipment.
• Supervise the installation, servicing and repairing of signalling and train control systems located in operations control centre, signalling equipment room, station signalling equipment rooms, depot signalling equipment rooms, along trackside and on-board trains.
• Ensure the team uses proper hand, machine, electrical and electronic tools and reference to technical drawings, signalling schematics, manuals, procedures and instructions when performing repair and maintenance work.
• Supervise the replacement of faulty signalling equipment, handover/taken back to the electronics workshop for repair.
• Knowledge and competence in technical standards will be regularly assessed.
• Produce and maintain accurate maintenance records of automatic train control system and equipment performance, work accomplished and other information using a computerised maintenance management system.
• Ensure the maintenance tools and equipment are in good condition.
• Provide technical support to other staff for the implementation of complex systems or new projects.
• Assist subordinates with the job familiarisation and to provide training and assessment where required.
• Perform shift and emergency duties when required.
• Drive work vehicles when responding to emergencies and when required on duty.
• Perform and carry out duties as instructed/ directed by the ATC Engineer.

KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED

• IRSE license on railway signalling equipment would be an advantage
• Sound knowledge of signalling principles, fixed block and moving block signalling systems, software based interlocking devices, point machines, induction and docking loops, cab signalling displays, on-board and wayside signalling equipment, would be a definite advantage.

KEY SKILLS

• Must have good eyesight and normal colour vision.
• Strong analytical mind, and ability to grasp the complexity of a software based signalling and train control system.
• Ability to use and calibrate various electronic test equipment and PC for the maintenance of central, wayside and on-board signalling equipment.
• Ability to write simple technical reports, routine business correspondence, prepare method statements and drawings as required.
• Possess good communication skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and work productively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Strong organisational skills, detail oriented, and the ability to handle multiple priorities.
• Hold a valid UAE driving license with good driving skill and experience.

EXPERIENCE

• Experience as a qualified electrical or electronics technician in maintaining and repairing computer based control and communication equipment, copper and fibre-optical based cables and interface equipment is highly preferable.
• Preferably with supervisory experience in supervising a team of technicians in carrying out maintenance activities.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFCATION

• Vocational trade certificate or ordinary diploma in electrical or mechanical engineering discipline or equivalent.
• IRSE license on railway signalling equipment is will be an added advantage.
