Overview

An Assistant Housing Manager is responsible for assisting in overseeing and directing all aspects of the staff accommodation operation under the general guidance and supervision of the Human Resources department. The role ensures that all team members living in staff accommodation receive high quality, responsive housing management service in a safe and secure environment, including providing support where necessary. The Assistant Housing Manager will monitor maintenance and facilities issues of the staff accommodation to deliver an excellent staff experience while assisting with employee relations.

What will I be doing

As an Assistant Housing Manager, you will assist in overseeing and directing all aspects of the staff accommodation operation under the guidance of the Human Resources department. You will ensure that all team members living in staff accommodation receive high quality and responsive housing management service in a safe and secure environment, including providing support where necessary. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

  • Distribute, delegate and direct workload to ensure maximum productivity and team member satisfaction with minimum outlay of expenses. Conduct one-to-one and performance development reviews of team members; coach and counsel team members on matters relating to staff housing in accordance with the staff housing accommodation policy.
  • Assist in social activities and provide ongoing support and follow-up in project timelines to be met.
  • Involve in hiring and training accommodation team members in proper work procedures and techniques. Communicate effectively to conduct staff and departmental meetings.
  • Attend various related meetings to obtain and disseminate pertinent information. Attend to complaints related to housing operations.
  • Assist the HR Manager with the preparation of annual budgets and monthly forecasts. Monitor and control the budget throughout the year.
  • Assist incoming employees' manager and provide accurate information. Greet internal and external customers in a friendly and professional manner and handle requests efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate reports of staff housing allocation.
  • Create and distribute flyers and memos, newsletters as assigned.
