Description

Ensure the yearly sales budget is achieved and surpassed by assisting and cooperating with the Director of Sales.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Director of Sales in managing the Sales Team, especially in their absence, and occasionally support the Commercial Director.
  • Attend internal meetings, conference calls, client appointments, and client events, primarily in the absence of the Director of Sales and sometimes the Commercial Director.
  • Manage key accounts within an assigned geographic area or client base, maximizing revenue, achieving personal targets, and increasing market share.
  • Prospect new accounts and develop new business opportunities.
  • Handle all segments of assigned markets, which may include European markets.
  • Conduct site inspections and ensure adherence to Corporate SOPs.
  • Follow up on tentative bookings and maintain detailed knowledge of competitors and hotel services.
  • Ensure timely contract negotiations using SMART contracting to optimize yields.
  • Participate in trade shows, sales blitzes, workshops, and other marketing activities in assigned markets.
  • Assist in defining and executing the annual sales action plan and preparing the sales budget with relevant statistics and forecasts.
  • Document all sales actions in the SFA (S&C) system and keep the OPERA contact database updated.
  • Participate in the Duty Manager rota and adhere to hotel policies, rules, and safety regulations.
  • Additional tasks may be assigned based on business needs.
Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise
  • University Degree
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in a 4/5-star hotel environment
  • Excellent communication skills in the local language and English
  • Strong planning, organization, flexibility, initiative, negotiation, and selling skills
  • Knowledge of food production and service procedures
  • Computer literacy relevant to sales activities
