About the role

We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented professional to lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive Group Policy Governance and Risk Reporting Framework. You will report to the Senior Executive Vice President of Risk Management. You will work closely with the Chief Risk Officer and other cross functional teams such as Product, Compliance and Audit to deliver the organizational objectives.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Establish and manage the Group Policy Governance Framework, including oversight of subsidiary policies to ensure alignment and compliance.
  • Develop foundational governance documents such as the Group Governance Policy, Risk Governance Framework, and Document Management Procedures.
  • Maintain a centralized, automated policy and program repository and implement a unified document management system.
  • Define and manage policy lifecycle processes including renewal cycles, change management, version control, and exception handling.
  • Lead the Group Risk Reporting Framework, including preparation of Board and Management Risk Committee (BRC/MRC) reports, tracking action points, and maintaining records.
  • Coordinate and review Basel Pillar III disclosures and Risk-Based Supervision (RBS) submissions to the Central Bank of UAE.
  • Monitor and report on Group Risk Appetite triggers and thresholds, escalating emerging risks as needed.
  • Oversee audit remediation for internal, external, and regulatory audits, ensuring timely resolution and reporting.
  • Collaborate with Compliance and other stakeholders to track and implement new regulatory requirements.
  • Lead risk-related projects, strategic initiatives, and awareness workshops across the bank.
  • Support the CRO in compiling and presenting risk information to senior management and the Board.
What We’re Looking For
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Commerce.
  • Professional qualification such as Company Secretary (CS) is desirable.
  • Experience: Minimum of 12 years’ experience in Risk Management Function focusing on Enterprise Risk Management, Credit Risk, Market Risk, Liquidity Risk with good understanding of all Risk areas.
  • Industry Exposure: Proven experience in risk governance, policy management, and regulatory compliance within the banking or financial services sector.
  • Strong understanding of CB UAE regulations, Basel III, and risk-based supervision frameworks.
