Role: Associate Scrum Master

Location: Abu Dhabi

Role Purpose:
  • To assist in facilitating Daily Scrums, Sprint Planning, Product Backlog Refinement, Sprint Reviews, Sprint Retrospectives, release planning and other team activities to coordinate delivering ongoing DTS agile projects.
Key accountabilities of the role:
  • Ensures that the Scrum process is used as intended.
  • Help to facilitate Daily Scrums, Sprint Planning, Product Backlog refinement, Sprint Reviews, Sprint Retrospectives, release planning and other team activities as required.
  • Ensures team self-organization & empowerment.
  • Facilitate Retrospectives and share new ideas for process improvement.
  • Ensure preparation for planning through effective Product Backlog refinement sessions.
  • Ensure planning meetings fully prepare the team for the upcoming Sprints and release.
  • Actively remove impediments that slow any aspect of the Development Teams efforts.
  • Actively participate in organizational Agile activities.
  • Assist and support the Development Teams automated processes.
  • Assist the team in implementing the process improvements they've defined in the Sprint Retrospectives.
  • Support the Product Owner in arranging the calls for writing effective Product Backlog Items and maintaining the prioritized backlogs for multiple products as the Development Teams provide estimates for the upcoming items.
  • Assist the Product Owner in the Story refinement process by arranging / sending the meeting invites.
  • Identify and manage dependencies with other internal or external teams.
  • Primary job duties may include supporting scrum teams in all areas (including sprint reviews and planning), milestone tracking, holding daily stand-up meetings and collaborating with engineering, product management and quality control departments to ensure the project is completed according to specifications.
  • Understand the life cycle of software and product development.
Specialist skills / technical knowledge technical competencies required for this role:
  • Basic knowledge of Scrum rules and use of Agile Practices.
  • Basic knowledge of software development and project management life cycle.
  • Basic knowledge of projects/releases in banking environment.
  • Effective communication skills and able to explain issues and blockers.
Previous experience:
  • Recent graduate or early-career professional with a background in project management or agile methodologies.
  • Demonstrates a strong interest in digital innovation, behavioral insights and the future of financial technology.
  • Eager to contribute to inclusive, intuitive and impactful digital experiences within a fast-evolving fintech landscape.
