Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking an Associate Principal Façade Engineer to lead the technical delivery of façade engineering across diverse projects. You will mentor teams, engage with clients, and ensure projects stay on time and within budget.

The role requires strong expertise in curtain wall, glazing, structural glass, skylights and building envelope solutions, with experience across Malaysia, Singapore, and Dubai offices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural/Architectural Engineering or related field.
• Proven experience in façade engineering consultancy or building envelope design.
• Strong leadership and communication skills to manage multidisciplinary teams.

Job Description Overview

The Associate Principal Façade Engineer will play a key leadership role in delivering façade engineering consultancy services across a diverse portfolio of projects. The successful candidate will lead the technical delivery of façade engineering solutions manage project teams engage directly with clients and ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget. This position requires strong technical expertise in façade systems project management capabilities and the ability to mentor and develop engineering talent across multiple regional offices.

Your role

Technical Leadership & Project Delivery

• Lead the technical delivery of façade engineering services on single-discipline and multidisciplinary projects.


• Take ownership of all assigned projects providing engineering expertise and technical support to Façade Consultancy teams.


• Deliver multiple projects or key workstreams of large-scale projects ensuring successful completion within agreed budgets and project schedules.


• Prepare and oversee façade and façade access deliverables including:

Client & Stakeholder Management

• Serve as the primary technical point of contact for clients and project stakeholders.


• Build and maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and problem-solving.


• Identify and resolve project challenges while ensuring technical excellence and client satisfaction.


• Coordinate effectively with management and project teams across the Malaysia Singapore and Dubai offices.

Project Controls & Commercial Management

• Monitor project expenditure and resource utilization to ensure budgets and spend limits are achieved.


• Track project performance and report on progress risks and resource requirements.


• Conduct weekly planning sessions and provide regular progress reports for all projects under your responsibility.


• Contribute to bid preparation proposals and technical submissions providing accurate assessments of team capabilities and resource requirements.

Team Leadership & Development

• Supervise and mentor engineers and consultants within the Façade Engineering team.


• Support the professional growth and technical development of team members through coaching and training initiatives.


• Organise and deliver in-house technical training on façade engineering principles systems and best practices.


• Monitor team capacity and workload forecasts identifying potential resourcing challenges and recommending solutions.


• Support recruitment activities and provide recommendations for hiring when required.


• Foster a collaborative efficient and high-performance team environment.

About you

• Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering Structural Engineering Architectural Engineering or a related discipline.


• Extensive experience in façade engineering façade consultancy or building envelope design.
