AESG is expanding its Specialist Consultancy, Engineering and Advisory team in the UAE. This Associate Electrical Engineer role focuses on delivering electrical building services across GCC projects with a UAE emphasis, guiding design quality and international standards adherence.

You will lead QA/QC, develop and maintain company design standards, and coordinate BIM-enabled electrical delivery for LV/MV systems, substations, lighting and renewable energy integrations, liaising with authorities

Formación

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Chartered Engineer status or equivalent.
• Minimum of 15 years' experience in the design and delivery of electrical building services within the MEPF and built environment sector.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in a senior or associate-level engineering role within a consultancy or design organisation.
• Extensive GCC project experience with a strong portfolio of delivered projects, focused on the UAE.
• Demonstrable experience leading electrical design on large-scale, complex developments including healthcare, hospitality, commercial, residential and mixed-use.
• Proficiency in design and analysis software such as Revit and AutoCAD (BIM modelling and multidisciplinary coordination).
• Electrical design and calculation software such as Amtech, ETAP or SKM.
• Lighting design software such as DIALux or Relux.
• Strong knowledge of international and local electrical codes and standards: BS 7671, IEC standards, CIBSE guides and UAE GCC codes.
• Demonstrable experience developing, implementing and maintaining company standards, design manuals and QA/QC systems.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the QA/QC of the electrical design team's deliverables, including drawings, calculations, specifications and reports.
• Develop, implement and maintain company electrical standards, design manuals, templates and quality systems.
• Lead the design and coordination of electrical building services including LV and MV power distribution systems.
• Lead substations, generators and uninterruptible power supplies.
• Lead internal and external lighting design.
• Oversee earthing and lightning protection systems.
• Manage renewable energy and photovoltaic systems integration.
• Coordinate building controls and energy management integration.
• Perform and review engineering calculations, load estimations and protection coordination using Amtech or ETAP.
• Lead BIM-enabled design delivery and multidisciplinary coordination using Revit.
• Review specialist contractor designs, calculations and submittals.
• Develop technical reports, basis of design and specifications.
• Lead authority approval submissions including Dubai Municipality, DEWA and relevant regulatory bodies.
• Ensure designs comply with project briefs, client standards and regulatory requirements.

Job Purpose

• Associate Electrical Engineer, reporting directly to the Company Electrical Lead, responsible for the design, coordination and delivery of electrical building services across built environment projects in the GCC, with a focus on the UAE.
• Provide strategic technical leadership and authoritative guidance on all electrical disciplines, including power distribution, lighting, earthing and lightning protection, life safety and renewable energy systems.
• Lead the QA/QC of the electrical design team's deliverables, ensuring technical excellence, consistency and compliance with project briefs, company standards and regulatory requirements.
• Develop, implement and maintain company electrical standards, design manuals, templates and quality systems aligned with international best practice.
• Act as the primary electrical engineering interface with clients, architects, contractors, other disciplines and regulatory authorities.
• Capable of independently delivering complex electrical designs from concept through construction support whilst maintaining technical excellence and commercial awareness.

Qualification and Experience

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or related Engineering field.
• Chartered Engineer status or equivalent professional accreditation (CIBSE, IET, IEEE or equivalent).
• Minimum of 15 years' experience in the design and delivery of electrical building services within the MEPF and built environment sector.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in a senior or associate-level engineering role within a consultancy or design organisation.
